Pizza Mezzaluna was established in 2009 as an additional of the original
Mezzaluna Uptown New York City. Mezzaluna was born in 1984 as a
contemporaneity authentic, innovative, Italian trattoria. . After 29 years
and an unlimited number of clones around the city and the country,
Mezzaluna still remains the only one.
We are very proud to say that Mezzaluna was the first restaurant in the city
to offer individual pizza cooked in our wood burning oven.
The philosophy of Pizza Mezzaluna is to showcase the dishes of the Italian
regional cuisine, importing authentic ingredients from Italy of high quality.
At Pizza Mezzaluna downtown we are focused on pizza, using Caputo flour
imported from Southern Italy, San Marzano tomatoes, handmade fiordilatte
mozzarella, our expert “Pizzaiolo”, make olive oil E.V from our estate in
Tuscany, make our pizza as authentic as delicious as that found on the stats
of Naples. Our cozy Italian trattoria is a pearl in Greenwich Village/ Soho.
